Encino Community Online Public Discussion Board: Frequently Asked Questions

Immediately below are links to some brief answers to frequently asked questions about how to use this Board.

How do I view messages on this Board?

Almost all the highlighted text you see on the Board is a hyperlink to a public message. These links consist of the subject of posted messages just like the subject field of your electronic mail. By clicking on any "subject line," you get connected to the entire message. Once there, you can read and reply to the message.

How do I post messages to this Board?

There two basic ways to accomplish this.

1) You may choose the "Post Message" hyperlink at the top of the Public Board page. From there you are taken to an online fill-in form where information you wish to share with the public may be entered and sent. However, by using this method you cannot reply to other's messages; this is for original messages only.

2) You may also choose the "Post Reply" link at the top and bottom of any page containing a whole public message. By doing this, you are instantly taken from the message you're reading to a form where you can enter a response to that message.

Why didn't my posted message show up on the Board?

After you post a message, you are automatically taken to a Web page that displays what you submitted as a kind of recap. From there you have the option of returning to the Public Message Board via a hyperlink found at the bottom of that page. By selecting the option to return, you should find your new message already posted to the Board itself. If your message did not show up, it is most likely because your WWW browser didn't freshly reload the page after your message was submitted. After returning to the Board, simply press the "reload" on your browser and your message should then appear.
